'Heritage of Adhesive'

1960-1980

Developing/inventing Korea’s very first acrylic adhesive in 1970, Mr. Youk Jong Jin’s (1924-1992) adhesive technology still lives through Bow Tape today.

2^nd Generation

'Our own technology'

1980-2000    

Bow Tape ltd., from its inception has developed its own technology to not only create standard foam, film, and non-woven adhesive tapes but also specialized non-solvent, removable, and other specialty products.

1986 

• Bow Tape ltd., Established (Gyeonggi-do, An-Yang City)
• Development of automotive (interior) adhesive double sided tape help Korean automakers localize adhesive tape, leading to application in automotive and electronic industries

1987

• Non-woven adhesive tape #110, #110QJ 
  UL approved (File No. MG14436)

1995

• New manufacturing factory construction and relocation. (Gyeonggi-do, Yong-in City)

2000-2020

With the experience of exporting to 30 different countries, Bow Tape was reborn as a global expert establishing locations on Shanghai, China, and San Diego, CA.  In Korea, Bow Tape expanded into 4 different manufacturing factories as well as designing and manufacturing our own production lines.  Also establishing a company-affiliated lab and R&D center, Bow Tape invested heavily in new product development and quality assurance.  In preparation for a greener and energy efficient future, new RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) and high temperature chemical reclaiming equipment was installed in all manufacturing factories.

2000

• Acrylic Foam adhesive tape manufacturing
• Development and manufacturing of Non-solvent acrylic adhesive tape in Korea (1st in Korea)
• ISO 9001:2000 approved

2005

• New factory / Branch in China Constructed (Shanghai)

2007

• Company Affiliated Research Laboratory Established

2008

• New Machinery Manufacturing Factory (3rd) Constructed (Hwa-seong City, Jeong-Nam)
• Machinery Department Established.  Self-designed and manufacturing all production line.

2010

• New Factory/HQ Constructed.  Company Headquarters relocated (Hwa-seong City, Hyang-nam)
• R&D Center Expanded
• Ten Million Dollar Exporting Award received from Korean Government (47th Exporters Day)

2011

• New Factory / Branch in USA Constructed (San Diego, CA

2015

• New Manufacturing Factory (4th) Constructed (Hwa-seong City, Yang-gam)

2018

• RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, high temperature chemical reclaiming equipment to make manufacturing environmentally friendly) equipment added to all manufacturing factories

2020

• Designated as 1st tier vendors for Samsung SDI, Electric Car batteries insulation cell manufacturing and supply

2021

• Self designed and manufactured a fully automated Samsung SDI electric car battery insulation production line, together with 3D Quality Check camera equipment

2022

• Twenty Million Dollar Exporting Award received from Korean Government (59th Exporters Day)

3^rd Generation

To the future

2023 ~

Starting with manufacturing adhesive tape for electric car batteries and cell converting, Bow Tape looks to expand into future industries.  Also establishing a Technical Design Center in our new Gihueng Corporate office, equipped with a new product/technical showroom and consultation center, Bow Tape hopes to offer a more professional and technical service to our partners.
